Take to the skies

A unique working airfield on the Lincolnshire coast, offering flying, history and a welcoming social atmosphere for members and visitors alike.
Founded in 1995, North Coates Flying Club has grown into a thriving aviation community, keeping flying alive at this historic coastal airfield.
The airfield is home to a wide variety of aircraft, including light aircraft, microlights and autogyros, creating a friendly and inclusive environment for pilots of all experience levels.
More than just an airfield, the club is a relaxed social hub where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of a working airfield and watch flying activity up close.
The club welcomes both pilots and non-pilots, making it a great place to experience aviation in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Pilots should contact the airfield in advance and follow local procedures when flying in.
The club hosts a number of popular events throughout the year, including summer fly-ins and special aviation gatherings that attract visitors from across the region.
These events bring together pilots, enthusiasts and families, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere on the airfield.
The café sits at the heart of the club's social life and is open to everyone.
Saturday11am – 2pm
Sunday10am – 3pm
You don't need to be a pilot to visit — everyone is welcome to enjoy the atmosphere.
The club is based on the former RAF North Coates airfield, a site with deep aviation history dating back to the First World War and playing a key role during the Second World War.
Today, the club proudly preserves this heritage, including memorials to those who served and displays such as the Bloodhound missile exhibit.
